Return to Tucson… Hailie Deegan and the No. 16 Columbia Bank
Chevrolet SS head to Tucson Speedway for round three of the ARCA
Menards Series West (AMSW) season. The Bill McAnally Racing (BMR) entry
is coming off an 11th-place finish in a strong field in
the AMSW combination race at Phoenix Raceway. Deegan opened the
season with a sixth-place finish at Kern Raceway and will look to
build on that performance this Saturday in Arizona.
Back in the Saddle… Deegan continues to find her rhythm in stock car
competition after a year away pursuing an open-wheel opportunity. She
has embraced the challenge of readjusting to the stock car style while
enjoying her return to the NASCAR umbrella. Deegan heads to Tucson
Speedway looking to take a step forward at a track where she previously
earned a podium finish in 2019, a result that aligns with BMR’s strong
history at the facility, which includes four wins, a season sweep in
2019, and another podium finish last season. A strong run at Tucson
could serve as a turning point for Deegan as she looks to elevate her
position in the standings.
Partner Spotlight… In the first two races of the season, Deegan
carried the NAPA Auto Care colors at Kern Raceway and Phoenix Raceway. A
familiar partner from the McAnally-Hilgemann Racing (MHR) NASCAR
CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) program, Columbia Bank will be featured on
the No. 16 for the first of five scheduled events
in Tucson. Deegan looks to carry Columbia Bank to their first
victory in the AMSW while pursuing BMR’s fifth Tucson triumph.
